Questions?
That’s OK, we have answers. Read our FAQs below.
Do I need Travel Insurance?
Yes, Curiosity Roads and its partners on the ground require all travelers purchase trip protection coverage. Know that the sooner you purchase a trip protection plan, the more it can cover, as there are time-sensitive benefits that can apply (the industry’s recommendation is to purchase a plan whitin 10 days of your initial payment).
If you already have an insurance, that’s great! Otherwise, we recommend Wanderwell. It is the first Certified B Corp travel insurance provider and they have world-class service, support, and coverage. They offer comprehensive trip protection plans that can cover the most common travel perils related to trip cancellation, trip interruption, trip delay, travel Medical Expenses, baggage & personal effects, Emergency Medical Evacuation, and more. At least 1% of your purchase premium price will be donated to the Planet Impact Fund through 1% for the Planet network.
How much walking should I expect?
The tour includes a moderate amount of walking, mostly at a relaxed pace. You can expect short guided walks in places like Cape Town’s historic center, the Bo-Kaap neighborhood, and during wine estate visits. There’s also an optional but rewarding sunset walk up Lion’s Head for panoramic views. At the safari lodge, walking is minimal, with most wildlife viewing done from vehicles. If you have mobility concerns, this particular trip might not be the best fit—but we’d be happy to design a custom itinerary tailored to your needs.
Can you help buying airfare?
While we don’t book airfare directly, we’re happy to refer you to a trusted partner who can assist with both the international and local legs of your flight.
